The Ligne 1 is where S.T. Dupont's lighter making began. Introduced in the 1960s as the BS (Briquet Standard), it was refined in the 1970s into the BR (Briquet Réglable) — the adjustable-flame butane version that became the model's definitive form and stayed in production into the early 2000s.
Prized for its compact, pocket-friendly proportions, the Ligne 1 was offered in two sizes and in finishes ranging from gold and silver plating to hand-applied laque de chine. Every Ligne 1 in our collection has been inspected, serviced where needed, and is covered by our one-year warranty.
