S.T. Dupont Ligne 1 — Large Silver Étoile, Reference 14115, New Old Stock

A S.T. Dupont Ligne 1 in the large size, finished in silver with the Étoile pattern and carrying reference 14115, preserved in new old stock condition with its box, outer sleeve and international guarantee card.

S.T. Dupont produced its first luxury lighter in 1941, and the Ligne 1 is the line that carried the house through its earliest and most collected decades. It is identified instantly by its base: a single screw knob concealing the gas intake, where the later Ligne 2 has two. Ligne 1 lighters were made in large and small sizes, and the large model in silver is the classic combination — substantial in the hand without being showy.

The Étoile pattern covers the body in a fine repeating lattice, cut rather than printed, so it reads as texture under the fingers as much as under the eye. Against silver it stays crisp and cool, and it wears far better than a polished surface would.

This example has never been carried, and it is unusually complete: the original box, the outer sleeve, the printed literature and the Carte de Garantie Internationale are all present. Complete Ligne 1 sets in this condition are increasingly hard to find. Serviced and in perfect working order.
