A genuine new old stock S.T. Dupont Ligne 2 lighter in silver with a large stripe engraving, in the full-size Grand Modèle format — never carried, never used, and preserved exactly as it left the factory.

S.T. Dupont introduced the Ligne 2 in 1977 as the larger, flagship model of its lighter collection, and it remains the line most closely associated with the brand's signature “cling” — the sharp, bright note produced when the cap closes, the result of precisely engineered metal-on-metal tolerances. The Grand Modèle is the fuller of the line's two sizes, giving the bold proportions and weight in the hand that the model is known for.

What makes this particular piece uncommon is its condition. Most surviving vintage Ligne 2 lighters carry some degree of pocket wear on the plating; this one carries none, having never entered service. The broad stripe engraving is crisp and unworn along its full length. The lighter has been serviced and is in perfect working order.
