S.T. Dupont Ligne 2 Petit Modèle — Gold, Barleycorn Guilloché, With Original Box

A vintage S.T. Dupont Ligne 2 in the smaller Petit Modèle size, finished in gold with a fine all-over barleycorn guilloché and presented in its original S.T. Dupont box.

S.T. Dupont produced its first luxury lighter in 1941, and by the time the Ligne 2 arrived in 1977 the maison had spent more than three decades refining the pocket lighter into the precision object collectors prize today. The Ligne 2 is the line that defined the brand: a solid brass body, a dual-flame gas system, and the deep, resonant note the lid makes on closing. It was offered in two sizes, and the Petit Modèle has become the harder of the two to find in good condition.

This example carries the fine barleycorn engine-turning across both faces, a pattern that scatters light softly rather than flashing it — which is exactly why it still looks superb after decades and hides handling marks so well. The roller is crisply fluted, and the lighter comes with its original box, lined in tan suede and marked S.T. Dupont, Orfèvres à Paris.

A discreet, genuinely pocketable vintage Dupont with its original presentation intact. The lighter has been serviced and is in perfect working order.
