S.T. Dupont Ligne 1 — Small Gold, New Old Stock
A vintage S.T. Dupont Ligne 1 in the smaller size, finished in gold and preserved in new old stock condition.
S.T. Dupont produced its first luxury lighter in 1941, and the Ligne 1 is where the house established the format it has used ever since. It is recognised by the single screw knob on the base, which conceals the gas intake — the later Ligne 2 carries two knobs, the second adjusting flame height. Ligne 1 lighters are also the least faked of all the Dupont models, which makes them a sound first purchase for anyone entering the marque.
The small model is the more discreet of the two Ligne 1 sizes, and the one that disappears most easily into a pocket. In gold it is warm without being loud, and the compact proportions give it a density in the hand that the photographs do not convey.
This example is new old stock: never carried, with unworn plating and crisp edges throughout. An honest, understated entry point into vintage S.T. Dupont. Serviced and in perfect working order.
