S.T. Dupont's partnership with Hermès began in the 1960s, pairing Dupont's precision lighter engineering with Hermès' renowned leather craftsmanship to produce a small run of gold-plated lighters finished in crocodile skin. This particular lighter dates from towards the end of that collaboration, a genuinely late example from a partnership that never ran for very long, making surviving pieces like this increasingly rare and hard to find for collectors.

This vintage Ligne 2 lighter is gold plated with a 20 microns hallmark and wrapped in genuine crocodile leather, a striking pairing of two French luxury houses in a single object.
