S.T. Dupont Ligne 2 small gold wavy pattern lighter NEW OLD STOCK with box and papers
S.T. Dupont Ligne 2 Petit Modèle — Gold Wave Pattern, New Old Stock
A S.T. Dupont Ligne 2 in the smaller Petit Modèle size, finished in gold with a flowing wave guilloché, preserved in new old stock condition and complete with box, outer sleeve and guarantee card.
S.T. Dupont produced its first luxury lighter in 1941. When the Ligne 2 arrived in 1977 it was offered in two sizes, and the choice between them is a matter of use rather than status: the Grand Modèle has presence on a table, while the Petit Modèle is the one that actually lives in a jacket pocket without pulling the line of the cloth. The smaller size is now the harder of the two to find unworn.
The wave pattern is among the least common finishes Dupont applied to the line. The engine-turning runs in soft concentric ripples rather than straight lines, and on the compact Petit Modèle body the effect is tighter and more concentrated than on a full-size case — the ripples curve within a smaller field, so the whole face shimmers at once as the lighter turns.
This example has never been used. The guilloché is sharp, the gold unworn, and it is offered with its original box, outer sleeve and Carte de Garantie Internationale. Serviced and in perfect working order.
